D2L: Download a Graded Rubric
Rubrics are useful tools for grading and providing feedback. However, it is not immediately apparent how to download these rubrics. Choose one of the activities below to see how. Note that, you attached a discussion board or dropbox to a grade item, you can follow along with Rubrics Attached to Grade Items. However, it may be useful to know how to download a rubric from a discussion board or dropbox if you did not attach these activities to a grade item or if the grade item is named differently from the activity.

Rubrics Attached to Grade Items
1 | Go to the Classlist and click on the carat to the right of the student's name that you are interested in downloading the graded rubric from. | |
2 | In the menu that appears, choose the "View Progress" option. | |
3 | Select Grades either underneath Progress Summary or on the left sidebar. | |
4 | Find the Grade that you want to download the graded rubric from and click on the little triangle to the left of Feedback. | |
5 | When you do, there will be a link to "View Graded Rubric". Click on it to view the graded rubric in a pop-up window. | |
6 | In the upper-right of this pop-up is a button to "Print Rubric". Click on it to get the Print Dialogue. | |
7 | Make sure that the Destination is set to "Save as PDF". Then click on Save and choose where you want to download the rubric. Make sure you give it a descriptive name as well. Note that the Print Dialogue window will look differently on different browsers. |
Rubrics Attached to a Discussion Board
1 | Go to the Classlist and click on the carat to the right of the student's name that you are interested in downloading the graded rubric from. | |

3 | If you attached your Discussion Board to a Grade Item in the Grade Book, you can follow the steps from above. Otherwise, choose the Discussions tab from the left sidebar. | |
4 | Find the Forum that your discussion board is in. Then click on the triangle to the left of the number of topics. From there, click on the triangle to the left of Details of the topic that you want the rubric from. | |
5 | When you do, there will be a link to "View Graded Rubric". Click on it to view the graded rubric in a pop-up window. | |
6 | In the upper-right of this pop-up is a button to "Print Rubric". Click on it to get the Print Dialogue. | |

Rubrics Attached to a Dropbox
