D2L: View as a Student

In D2L, Instructors can view their course as a Student using the Student View option.

1 | Click on your User Icon in the upper-right of D2L. |

2 | Click on View as Student in the menu that appears. Note: If you are anywhere in your course other than the Course Homepage, when you switch to the Student View, you will be taken to the Course Homepage. If you change roles in the D2L Homepage, the D2L Homepage will just reload, looking not much different. You will still be able to navigate to all of the courses you are enrolled in. However, you will only see the courses as your students do. |

3 | When we click on View as Student, D2L will reload. Our icon will also turn orange. Additionally, “as Student” will appear underneath our name. |
