Step 1: Open iMovie - Finder > Go > Applications > iMovie
- Available in the App Store (14.99) or Free with the purchase of a Mac

Step 2: Import your media (aka - your teaching film) |

Step 3: Drag your newly imported media into the 'playbox' below |
|
Step 3 (Optional...though helpful): To broaden the view of your view, toggle the 'Settings' bar to the right |

Step 4: Trimming your Video- For the purposes of this tutorial, we will discuss 'splitting' rather than trimming
- 1) Place your cursor at the point of the film where you wish to trim your video
- 2) Select Modify followed by 'Split Clip

Step 5: Remove the unwanted portion of your video - Once your have made all the 'splits' in your video (see Step 4 above), you can now remove unwanted footage.
- To remove a clip, right click the selection and select 'Delete'

Step 6: Adding Titles- Select 'Title' from the top bar
- Select your desired title (ie - Gradient - Black)
- Drag the selected down to the toolbox

Step 7: Editing the Title - A) Select 'My Media' and your film
- B) Double click the title in the 'playbox' below
- C) Edit the text in the viewer window to the right

Step 8: Exporting the iMovie Project A) File > Share > File B) Edit format and resolution C) Select the saving destination of your file |
