Copyleaks: Adding a Copyleaks Assignment to the Gradebook

Copyleaks allows for automatic grading with their assignment tool. However, this decision should be made before the Copyleaks assignment is created. Otherwise, there is no way to either reverse the decision or link the Copyleaks assignment to the gradebook.

1

Create a Copyleaks Assignment. Go to Add Existing Activities in any module and select Copyleaks Assignment Tool.

In the pop-up that appears, add the necessary information for the Assignment (such as Title, Description, Due date, etc.).

Make sure to set the Max Grade. Then scroll all the way to the bottom. The option to “Add to Gradebook” is selected by default. If we do not want to add it to the gradebook, we can toggle this off.

Then click on Submit Assignment.

When we do, Copyleaks will create the assignment and create a linked Grade Item with the name of the assignment in the Gradebook.

We can either grade the assignment from (a) the Assignment Dashboard or (b) the report for that particular submission.

When we grade the assignment in Copyleaks, it will automatically send the grade information to the Gradebook.
