Canisius Lightboard Studio

What is it?

The Lightboard Studio is a one-button recording studio. The Lightboard Studio also includes a transparent Lightboard (think of it as a whiteboard, but see-through). This allows faculty to professionally record lectures for asynchronous or flipped classrooms while looking at the camera.

How does it work?

Using a transparent glass board and neon markers, you can write down important facts, diagrams, equations, etc. You can even “draw” over PowerPoints, webpages, and other documents or images. The Studio also records you automatically. If you would like, you can also record the screen.

How do I use it?

Bring a USB Thumbdrive to OM415! Otherwise, all you have to do is make sure that the system is on, insert the USB, and then hit the record button. The Neon markers and microfiber cloths are available in the Lightboard Studio.

If this is the first time you are using the Studio, make an appointment with COLI staff first. We will show you how to use the Lightboard Studio as well as give you swipe access to the room.
