Description

Canisius University is a Jesuit School. We are led, inspired, and nurtured by the Society of Jesus, an order that is part of the Roman Catholic Church. We call ourselves Ignatian, in reference to St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order. But our students, faculty, and staff are of many different, and varying degrees of religious faith. We celebrate our multicultural community.

Whether students are Catholic or not, they often draw personal strength, self-confidence, peace, and other benefits from Ignatian philosophy and habits of mind. Consider our online Examen, a web-based guide to self-reflection in accordance with Jesuit practice.

Guidelines, Policies & Procedures

Familiarize yourself with these.  Even if you are halfway around the world, you are every bit as much a Canisius University student - a Golden Griffin - as anyone who lives and attends all classes on campus.  As such, there are policies and guidelines in place to ensure your learning experience is safe, meaningful, and beneficial to you.

Call or email the Canisius University Helpdesk with any questions concerning technology.
