Powering Up the Equipment
The ceilingThe ceiling-mounted LCD projector is projector is controlled using the EPSON remote controlMEDIABRIDGE control panel on the wall to the left of the whiteboard.

Press On the MEDIABRIDGE control panel, under POWER press the ON button to turn on the LCD projector. After pressing ON, wait until the projector has warmed up before selecting the desired source button on the EPSON control panel. The projector will not receive the command to switch until after it has finished warming up.
The resident computer, and document camera , are powered on using the appropriate button located on each device.
Projector Standby (PIC-MUTE)
Press the A/V MUTE button Ø button under SOURCE on the EPSON remote MEDIABRIDGE control panel once to place the projector in standby mode. Simply press the button again to take the projector out of standby.
Volume
If not already onOn the MEDIABRIDGE control panel under VOLUME, press the POWER button on the amplifier to turn it on. The adjustment of volume, however, is actually done using the knob located on the top of the lectern.

Resident Computer @ Lectern
Press the POWER button on the resident computer to turn it on. HS 220 is equipped with a HP computerDell PC computer. USB ports are located next to the computer's power button.
Once the computer has been powered up, press the COMPUTER HDMI button on the EPSON remote MEDIABRIDGE control panel until the projector is set to COMPUTER 1 HDMI 1 mode to display the image on both the monitor and LCD projector simultaneously.

NOTE: The document camera and laptop must be powered off in order to see the resident computer image.Document Camera (ELMO)
The Doc Cam’s power and lights must be turned on manually using the controls located on the camera itself. Click here for more information regarding the document camera found in this classroom.
Once the camera's power is on, press the COMPUTER comp button on the EPSON remote control until the projector is set to COMPUTER 1 COMPUTER 1 mode to display the image on both the monitor and LCD projector simultaneously.

Connecting a Laptop
The HDMI cable needed for connecting a laptop computer is found on the instructor's podium. The HDMI connection caries both video and audio. For more information see Selecting HDMI Audio Output.
Using the HDMI cable |
1. Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop's HDMI port. |

2. Plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop's network jack (if needed). |
3. Press the HDMI button on the EPSON control panel to toggle the projector is set to HDMI 2 modemode. |
5. Turn on your laptop's power. |
6. If needed, set your laptop to display on a secondary display. |

Powering Down the Equipment
Press On the MEDIABRIDGE control panel, under POWER button twice on the EPSON remote control press the OFF button to turn off the LCD projector. The resident computer, and document camera , and DVD/VCR combo unit must be powered off separately. Instructions for shutting down the computer are found below.
Be sure to remove any media from the equipment before shutting it down.
Powering Down the Resident Computer
1. Open the Start Menu (click on in the lower-left corner).
2. Click the "Shut Down" button.
