Entering Waivers for MBA, NTR, SPE1 and DAT majors
In Banner, go to the SOATEST screen.
Enter the student id number or look them up using the appropriate process.
Click Go. The SOATEST screen appears as below:
Insert a new row in the Test Score Information portion of the screen at the top by clicking on the Insert button at the top.
Insert the appropriate code for the course you wish to waive.
Clicking on the ellipse will give you a list of values.
MBA major waivers are as follows:
M501 – MBA/ISB 501 is waived
M502 – MBA/MGT 502 is waived
M503 – MBA/ECO 503 is waived
M504 – MBA/ECO 504 is waived
M505 – MBA/ACC 505 is waived
M506 – MBA/MKT 506 is waived
M507 – MBA/MGT 507 is Waived
M508 – MBA/FIN 508 is Waived
You must also add WAMBA and the total number of credit hours to waive. Please note: the WAMBA value must represent a total of all courses waived for the MBA degree. Be careful to note if a prior waiver was given and a value is in WAMBA, it will need to be changed to represent the TOTAL number of credit hours to be waived. 18 credit hours is the maximum.
Applied Nutrition major waivers are as follows:
A502 – ALH 502 is waived
- No value representing credit hours is required. Assumed to be 3 credits.
SPE1 major waivers are as follows:
EFOR – Foreign Language requirement is waived
- No value representing credit hours is required. Assumed to be 3 credits.
DAT major waivers are as follows:
DDOM – Domain Elective 1 is waived
DDOM2 – Domain Elective 2 is waived
C501 – CSC 501 + CSC 501L are waived
C502 – CSC 502 + CSC 502L are waived
D501 – DAT 501 is waived
D513 – DAT 513 is waived
M500 – MAT 500 is waived
If you add any of the above codes with a test score = 100, the course will automatically show on the GriffAudit as waived.
You must also add WADAT and the total number of credit hours to be waived. Please note: the WADAT value must represent a total of all courses waived for the DAT degree. Be careful to note if a prior waiver was given and a value is in WADAT, it will need to be changed to represent the TOTAL number of credit hours to be waived. 10 credit hours is the maximum.
