connected your laptop with the appropriate cables and selected the laptop input on the Control Panel or with the Remote Control, one additional step might still be required to display your laptop image on the room's LCD projector or TV.

Windows 8 NOTE: Make sure that the LCD projector or TV has been powered on and that your laptop has been connected with the appropriate cables before turning on your computer. Simultaneously pressing the Windows Logo Key and the "P" Key on your laptop's keyboard will display the following."
Select Duplicate to have the laptop image appear on both your laptop screen and on the room's LCD projector or TV. You may need to adjust your laptop's resolution for an optimal image.

Please see the section below regarding adapters. - Open the Apple Menu (click on Image Modified in the upper-left corner) and select System Preferences.
- Click on the Displays icon.
- Click on the Detect Displays button to synchronize the images on the MacBook and the LCD projector or TV. If the Detect Displays button is not available, hold down the Option key on the keyboard to view it.
- Click on the Arrangement tab:
Image Modified - Check the box next to Mirror Displays in order to have the same image appear on both your MacBook and on the room's LCD projector or TV.
