Microsoft Outlook: Set Working Information

Microsoft Outlook: Set Working Information

In Outlook, we can set our working information, including working hours and work location for that particular day. This is useful for when we use Bookings, the Microsoft scheduling application. More information on Bookings can be found below:

Microsoft Office Support: Bookings Tutorials

In this tutorial, we use Outlook Web, accessible from My Canisius>My Applications>Outlook 365. However, the same options are available on New Outlook Desktop. To start using the New Outlook Desktop app, see Microsoft’s tutorial here:

4

Set the range of time we are available each day.

We can use the + symbol to the far right to add additional ranges. For example, maybe we offer office hours before a class and after that class. Or we want to make sure we reserve time for lunch.

Set the default location for each day.

Below, we can show the work location (i.e., Office or Remote).

If we do not show the location, certain people may still be able to view it.

Finally, we can share our location.

We recommend the “Can view general location (office or remote)” option.
