Microsoft Office Support: Outlook Tutorials

Canisius University has a 6 month email retention policy which automatically deletes any emails that are 6+ months old in the Inbox. This includes any emails in sub-folders of the Inbox.

To save emails for longer, we need to create a sub-folder by right-clicking on our email address. From there, select “Create new folder” from the menu. We can create additional folders within that sub-folder to get around the 6 month rule.
