D2L: Unlink a Discussion from the Gradebook
In D2L, we can unlink a discussion. Perhaps we no longer want to grade that particular discussion. Or we linked the wrong grade item. In either case, the steps to unlink are simple.
| 1 | In the Discussion Editor for the Discussion we want to unlink, click on “In Grade Book”. |  Highlighting In Grade Book

| 2 | Click on Reset to Ungraded in the menu that appears. | Highlighting Reset to Ungraded

| 3 | The Grade Out Of will reset to Ungraded. When finished, click on Save and Close. Unlinking the Discussion from the Grade Item DOES NOT delete the Grade Item. If deleting the Grade Item is desired, we need to go to the Gradebook to do so. | Highlighting Grade Out Of and Save and Close
