Microsoft Teams: Logging into Teams for the First Time

In this tutorial, we review how to log into Microsoft Teams Desktop App using your Canisius University account. The desktop app can be downloaded from here:

After downloading and installing Microsoft Teams, there will be a few “slides” giving us a quick introduction to Teams.

After that is all done, we will reach a point where it asks for our email. Use your Canisius email address:

yourUsername@canisius.edu

Then, hit Next.

The page should update and we should see the Canisius University Login page. Sign in with your Canisius Username (everything before the @ symbol) and password.

We may also be asked to provide MFA, so be ready with that as well.

We may get an option to choose Work/School Account or Personal Account. Make sure to choose Work/School Account.

After a moment, we should be logged into Microsoft Teams.
