Sections
Randomization
Randomization will only appear if any of the randomization options (ex., Randomize answer order in the Question Editor or Shuffle Quiz under Timing & Display in the Quiz Editor) have been selected in a quiz and/or Question Pool is in use.

Number of versions will create a number of versions of the quiz for us to review. For example, let us say we have 10 students in the course. We can type in 10. When we do, we will see that tabs to 10 different versions of the quiz become available to us:
Additionally, note that the Quiz Version (in the case, Version A) is just below the Quiz Title.
Clicking on New Version [letter here] or New Randomization will randomize the quiz again.
NOTE: If we use the Randomization option, we will need to print each version of the quiz individually.
Formatting
Format Option | Details/Description |
|---|---|
Name Field | Add a space for students to fill out their name. |
Student ID Field (not recommended due to privacy concerns) | Add a space for Students (or grader) to fill out Student ID number. |
Date Field | Add space for students to fill in the date. |
Additionally, note that, when we make each selection, the screen will automatically update. We will only be able to select one option at a time but, after the screen updates, we will be able to make the next selection.
NOTE: The selection for the formatting option is saved when we go to the next version of the quiz.
Answer Key
This option allows us to create an answer key for that particular quiz (or, if we have randomization on, that particular version of the quiz). To save on ink, we recommend turning off any options selected in the formatting section. Then, use the print button in the lower-right to print the quiz answer key (useful for TA’s) or Save as PDF to save a digital version.
