Powering Up the Equipment

The LCD projector is controlled using the Panasonic remote control. Point the remote at the projector before pressing the power button.

Instructor's workbench

Panasonic remote controll

Press the red power button to turn on the LCD projector. The projector will not receive the command to switch inputs until after it has finished warming up.  This will take approximately 30 seconds.

 

Volume

The adjustment of volume is done using the VOL +/VOL - buttons on the Panasonic remote.

NOTE: Computers have their own volume controls which may need to be adjusted separately.

 

Document Camera (ELPDC21)

The document camera is to the right of the workbench. To use it, power it on, and press the HDMI 2 button on the Panasonic remote. A USB-A cable is provided to connect the document camera to your laptop. The image can be viewed in any application that can access a web camera. Click here for more information regarding the document camera found in this classroom.

The power button, zoom, and focus buttons are located on the base of the document camera.

Press the HDMI 2 button on the Panasonic remote to display the image on the LCD projector.

Connecting a Laptop

The HDMI cable needed for connecting a laptop computer is found on the instructor's podium.  The HDMI connection caries both video and audio.  For more information see Selecting HDMI Audio Output.

Powering Down the Equipment
Press the red power button on the Panasonic remote control while pointed at the projector. A confirmation window will pop up on the screen. Press the power button a second time to turn the projector off. The document camera must be powered off separately.
