Email migration to Exchange Online iPhone/iPad configuration

If you have been notified that your email account has been migrated by ITS from exchange hybrid, to Canisius Exchange online, a couple of changes are required to send/receive email on your apple device.

For the best experience, fastest set-up, and to take advantage of all that MS exchange has to offer, we highly recommend downloading the Outlook app for iOS/iPadOS from the App Store

To set up on your apple device using the Mail App:

Go to settings on your device.

You can search for "Mail Accounts"

Delete Account for your current Canisius email.

Now Add Account from the device accounts page, and select Microsoft Exchange.

Next fill in your Exchange email address and a description like this, click Next:


Next, select Sign In

You will now see a screen confirming your "settings"  wants to use your "microsoftonline.com" account to sign in, click Continue. 

You will now get this popup, click Allow

Now you should get this page where you select "work or school account" which should take you to our portal authentication page to log in.


To set up on your apple device using the Outlook App:



It can take a few minutes for the email and calendar items sync.
