Get Email Notifications for Google Calendar

This is a brief guide on setting up email notifications for a specific Google Calendar. These email notifications can be especially useful for Appointment Calendars.

1Go to Google Calendar. Then, in the upper right, click on the Gear icon, to the left of your account image.

2Choose Settings from the dropdown menu

3In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down until you see Settings for my Calendars.  Click on the Calendar that you want to receive email notifications for.

4Other options will appear below the calendar you clicked on. Click on Other Notifications.

5To the right of the menu, you will be brought down to the Other Notifications settings area. There are five drop-down menus that you can toggle and set to Email to receive email notifications.

6Toggle them all to get the most information about Events in your Google Calendar. This is especially useful for Appointment Calendars in Google Calendar.
