The resident computer, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse are all powered on using the appropriate button located on each device. The Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e's camera and speakerphone power on automatically when the computer is started.
Volume
The resident computer is set to play audio via the speakers on the SHARP LED TV by default. The adjustment of volume is done by using the VOL + and - buttons on the SHARP remote control.
However, if you are participating in a web conference (using Skype, GoToMeeting, etc.) it is strongly recommended that you use the Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e's speakerphone instead of the LED TV's built-in speakers. Go into the audio settings menu of the web conferencing application being used and select the Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (2- ConferenceCam CC3000e) as both the microphone and speaker. Volume will then be controlled with either the Logitech remote control or on the speakerphone base itself.
NOTE: Computers have their own volume controls which may need to be adjusted separately.
Resident Computer @ Rack
Press the POWER button on the resident computer to turn it on; doing so will also supply power to the Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e. HO 014F is equipped with a rack-mounted HP computer running Windows 7. USB ports are located on the right-side of the computer. You can use the following credentials to sign into the computer:
Username: .\griffcenter
Password: griff-14
The LED TV should already be set to the proper input to display the resident computer. If not, press the INPUT button on the SHARP remote control until the TV is set to input HDMI-1 (Computer) to view the image.

The computer is located at the top of the rack | The wireless keyboard & mouse both must be powered on and off separately |
A wireless keyboard and wireless mouse are provided and must be turned on separately; the power button for the keyboard is on the upper right corner, while the power button for the mouse is located underneath. The keyboard and mouse should be found either on the table or on top of the equipment rack beneath the LED TV.
Logitech ConferenceCam System
This room features a Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e, which consists of a wall-mounted pan/tilt/zoom web camera, a speakerphone (featuring two omni-directional microphones and echo & noise cancellation), and a remote control. The camera and speakerphone can be controlled with the remote control or from the speakerphone base itself.

Speakerphone Placement: There is enough slack on the cable connecting the speakerphone to the equipment rack that it can be positioned almost anywhere on the conference table. If you are the only person using the system make sure the speakerphone is positioned in front of your seat. If a group of people are using the system place the speakerphone on the table in the middle of the group.
Recording a Video with Movie Maker
The equipment installed in this room allows for the recording of pratice interviews using Movie Maker. After logging into the computer, follow the instructions below to record, save, and play back your video.

- Double-click on the Movie Maker icon on the desktop to open the program.
- Press the Webcam video button, which is located under the Home ribbon tab.
- You should now see yourself appear on the screen. Be sure to make eye contact with the camera located beneath the TV while recording. Use either the remote control or the buttons found on the speakerphone base itself to reposition the camera, if needed.
- To start recording your practice interview press the Record button.
An elapsed time counter (displayed in minutes and seconds) will then start.
- When finished with your practice interview press the Stop button.
- Your recording must first be saved before you can play it back. The Save Video window will automatically open once you have pressed Stop.
It is recommended that you save your recording to the Desktop so that you can easily locate it after closing Movie Maker, in case you wish to keep it for later review.
- After saving your video you can play it back in Movie Maker by pressing the PLAY button.
You can also view the video in full screen mode by pressing the button or F11 on the keyboard.
- If you are not happy with the recording you can create a new one by simply restarting this process starting at Step 2.
- When you exit Movie Maker you will be asked "Do you want to save changes to My Movie?". You can press the No button since your recording has already been saved as a WMV file. This prompt is only to save a Movie Maker Project File, which is not necessary.
- If you wish to take your recording with you for later review, it is recommended that you save it to your Google Drive account (if you are a student) or to a USB thumb drive.
