Steps to take when regaining access to a compromised / disabled gmail account
- Change the password on your account. Make sure you use a unique password that is not used anywhere else.
- Click here to reset your password
After the password is reset, be sure to notify the ITS Help Desk that your password has been updated.
- Things to check if your gmail account was compromised. Make sure no filters were created to delete your email.

- Make sure your email is not being forwarded to an address you are not familiar with.

- Check to make sure your current emails were not sent to the trash folder
- Make sure the signature file was not changed or another one added to your account.
