Sharing Outlook Calendars

The following instructions are for the full/desktop client of Outlook. Instructions for the Outlook Web App can be found here.


Step 1 - Open the Desktop Client of Outlook

Step 2 - Toggle to the Calendar Tab

Step 3 - Select Share Calendar from the top ribbon

Step 4 - Enter the user's email address

Step 5 (Optional) - Adjust the user's detail settings (ie - Limited or Full)

  • Full is recommended if you wish to share all details in your calendar
  • Limited is recommended if you wish to only share when you are "busy"

Step 6 (Optional) - Send

Step 7 (Optional) - Select Calendar Permissions from the top ribbon

Step 8 (Optional) - Highlight the user's name and set permissions. It is suggested that "edit own" is selected. Followed by "OK"
