Financial Aid Eligibility: Course Requirements & Credits
Federal financial aid requires that students be making satisfactory progress toward their degree. Thus, for full-time undergraduate students, their schedule must include at least 12 credits that fulfill requirements for graduation. These requirements include:
Courses used to fulfill core curriculum requirements (or for all-college-honors students, honors requirements),
Courses required to complete their major(s) including courses to complete their concentration(s),
Courses required to complete their minor(s),
Courses required to meet the liberal arts and sciences content of the degree (90 credits for a BA and 60 credits for a BS), and
Courses needed to meet the minimum of 120 credit hours for a bachelor degree.
