Advisement Meetings Guidance

Advisement Meetings Guidance

Advisement meetings should be available at least during the registration period and should include one or more virtual options.

  • You may want to include a statement along the lines of, "In person meetings are restricted to healthy, vaccinated individuals. If you are unvaccinated or experiencing symptoms of any illness, please choose a virtual advisement meeting option."
  • Clearly communicate your availability and scheduling procedures for your virtual advisement meetings.
  • Virtual advisement meetings need to be synchronous, and preferably via zoom, google hangouts, facetime, or phone; however, chat or text could be used
    alternatively.
  • While email is often a preferred form of communication, email alone does not constitute an adequate method to hold advisement meetings, as it is not synchronous or engaging.
