Powering Up the Equipment
The projector flat panel TV is controlled with the SMART control panel located on the bottom right of the SMART BoardSamsung remote control tethered to the conference table.  Press the Power power button to turn the projector on, then allow the projector time to warm up (approximately 30 seconds)display on.  If necessary press the SOURCE button to bring up the list of inputs, and select PC.  The PC desktop, and DVD/VHS combo unit are BluRay player and HDMI switcher are located in the equipment rack, and must be turned on with their respective power buttons.  

Volume

The room audio level is adjusted by using the knobs on the Crown Amplifier located in the equipment rack.  In VOL + and - rocker on the Samsung remote control.  In addition, computer volume is controlled by the laptop or desktop.  On the start bar, to the right side is a volume widget.  Clicking here will allow the volume level to be adjusted up, down, or muted.

Playing a BluRay or DVD or VHS

1. Insert your DVD or VHS tape disc into the DVD/VCR combo unitBluRay Player. Use the buttons on the front of the combo unit or the provided Sony remote control to operate the DVD/VCRBluRay Player. The remote control should be located inside the drawer at the bottom of the equipment rack.
2. Press the DVD/VCR button labeled BluRay on the Extron HDMI switcher located in the equipment rack next to the PC.
3. If the image from the combo unit BluRay player does not appear, make sure the projector TV is set to VGA-1PC.  Press the INPUT SOURCE button on the SMART Board Control Panel until VGA-1 is displayed in the upper right corner of the projected image.to bring up the list of inputs, and select PC.

Connecting a Laptop - VGAHDMI

1. Plug the VGA HDMI cable into your laptop's VGA HDMI port.  If your laptop does not have a VGA an HDMI port, click on Laptop/Tablet Display Adapters to find out what type of adapter is needed to connect your laptop.
2. Press the LAPTOP button labeled HDMI on the Extron HDMI switcher located in the equipment rack next to the PC.
3. If the image from the laptop does not appear, make sure the projector TV is set to VGA-1PC.  Press the INPUT SOURCE button on the SMART Board Control Panel until VGA-1 is displayed in the upper right corner of the projected imageto bring up the list of inputs, and select PC.
4. If needed, set your laptop to display on a secondary display.

Connecting a Laptop - HDMI

1. Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop's HDMI port.  If your laptop does not have a VGA port, click on Laptop/Tablet Display Adapters to find out what type of adapter is needed to connect your laptop.
2. Press the Input button on the SMART control panel until HDMI appears in the upper right corner of the projected image.
3. If needed, set your laptop to display on a secondary display.

Using the Windows Desktop

1. Turn on the PC desktop with the
2. power button on the front of the unit.
3. Turn on the wireless keyboard and mouse using their respective power switcheswith built in track pad with the power switch located on the back of the unit.
4. Press the button labeled PC button on the Extron HDMI switcher located in the equipment rack next to the PC.
5. If the image from the desktop PC does not appear, make sure the projector TV is set to VGA-1PC.  Press the INPUT SOURCE button on the SMART Board Control Panel until VGA-1 is displayed in the upper right corner of the projected image.to bring up the list of inputs, and select PC.

Powering Down the Equipment

To turn off the projectorTV, press the Power button on the SMART Samsung remote control panel twice. 

The PC desktop, and DVD/VHS combo unit BluRay player must be powered off separately.  Remember to remove any media from the combo unit BluRay player before leaving.  Instructions for shutting down the computer are found below.
