Connecting a Laptop - HDMI

The HDMI cable needed for connecting a laptop computer is found at the conference table.  The HDMI connection caries both video and audio.  For more information see Selecting HDMI Audio Output.

  1. Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop's HDMI port.  If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, click on Laptop/Tablet Display Adapters to find out what type of adapter is needed to connect your laptop.
  2. If the image from the laptop does not appear, make sure the TV is set to HDMI 1.  Press the SOURCE button to bring up the list of inputs, and select PC.
  3. If needed, set your laptop to display on a secondary display.

Using the web camera and speakerphone

The USB cables tethered with the HDMI cable at the conference table must both be connected to your laptop to use the camera and speakerphone.  The web camera is located on the bottom right corner of the TV, and has a privacy cap that covers the lens when not in use.   The USB speakerphone has a built in mute function.  On the unit, press the button with the icon of a microphone with a slash through it to mute and unmute the microphone.   When the lights on the unit are green, the microphone is enabled, when red it is muted.  In Zoom, or other video conferencing software, the rooms came and microphone will need to be selected to use them.
