Antivirus/AntiMalware Software for Personally Owned PCs

...

Warning: To avoid a software conflict, you must uninstall any other antivirus software from your PC before installing Security Essentials.

To remove ESET Antivirus software, just click the Windows Start button, then go to the Control Panel, select Uninstall a Program (or possibly Add/Remove Programs), and remove ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

Be sure to keep the virus definitions up to date, so that the software can detect and neutralize new viruses as they come out.
Do you Currently have ESET Antivirus Software?
The College has not renewed its license for ESET Nod32 antivirus software. If your personally-owned computer is currently running a version of ESET that was covered by the Canisius license, you may have noticed its icon has turned orange Image Removed and have probably seen several pop-up notifications.
In order to ensure that your personally-owned computer remains well protected, please follow the recommendation provided above as soon as possible. The section is entitled "Antivirus Software for Personally Owned PCs".
If you have questions or need additional information, please visit or call the ITS Help Desk at (716) 888-8340.
