Grupp has been temporality equipped with a PC desktop and document camera to accommodate classroom use.

Powering Up the Equipment
The projector is controlled with either the Epson remote control or with the controls on the projector itself. Press the power button to turn the projector on, then Allow allow the projector time to warm up (approximately 30 seconds).  The PC laptop desktop must be turned on with the power button at the top of the keyboard.  Projector Standby
Each source page (COMPUTER, LAPTOP, DOCUMENT CAMERA, DVD, etc.) has a Projector Standby button located in the lower left corner of the screen. Pressing this button will place the projector in standby mode. While this mode is active, the button will flash. Simply on the front of the unit.  The document camera must be powered on with the power switch on the rear right side of the document bed.  All video inputs to the projector go through the HDMI switcher, located next to the PC on the cart, select 1 for the laptop, 2 for the PC desktop, and 3 for the document camera.

Projector Standby
Press the A/V MUTE button on the Epson remote control to black out the projected image.  Simply press the button again to take the projector out of standby mode.

Volume
Computer volume is controlled by the laptop, or desktop.  On the start bar, to the right side is a volume widget.  Clicking here will allow the volume level to be adjusted up, down, or muted.

Desktop PC

A desktop PC running Windows 10 is installed in Grupp.  To display the desktop:

  1. Power on the desktop PC.
  2. Select the 2 button on the HDMI switch, located next to the PC on the cart.
  3. If the desktop is not displaying, press the VIDEO button on the EPSON remote control until the projector is set to HDMI mode

Connecting a Laptop

There is an adaptor with the HDMI cable that can be used if your computer has a Display Port connection instead of an HDMI connection. The connection caries both video and audio.  For more information see Selecting HDMI Audio Output

  1. Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop's HDMI port.  
  2. Select the 1 button on the HDMI switch, located next to the PC on the cart.
  3. If the laptop is not displaying, press the VIDEO button on the EPSON remote control until the projector is set to HDMI mode.  
  4. If needed, set your laptop to display on a secondary display.

Document Camera

  1. The Doc Cam’s power and lights must be turned on manually using the controls located on the camera itself. Click here for more information regarding the document camera found in this classroom.
  2. Select the 3 button on the HDMI switch, located next to the PC on the cart. 
  3. If the laptop is not displaying, press the VIDEO button on the EPSON remote control until the projector is set to HDMI mode.

Powering Down the Equipment
To turn off the projector, press the Power button on either the Epson remote control, or the projector twice. 

The PC desktop must be powered off separately. Instructions for shutting down the computer are found below.

Powering Down the Resident Computer
1. Open the Start Menu (click on Image Addedin the lower-left corner).

2. Click the "Shut Down" button.
