When the regr509 job runs nightly it checks to see if there holds that have been satisfied. If any are found, the system date is entered in the hold_to_date field. (This might happen if a tape load is received with scores or if someone manually satisfies the hold using SAAADMS instead of WADM020.)
Note: The student side of Banner doesn't match up with appl no to the admissions data. We can only link back to admissions data based on school/major/program for a student. So if there are two separate appl nos in admissions with the same school/major/program for a student, if one of those appl nos has unsatisfied pre-reqs, a hold will still be generated.
On September 24th, February 3rd and the Monday after 6/28 this job will send an email reminder to Lisa Seely and Kevin Smith reminding them that the hold process will take place in one week. It reminds them to check Business Objects report REGR539 for a list of students who will be affected. This report is available in the Students, Admissions and in the Deans Assoc folders. This report lists students who have unsatisified pre-reqs based on the criteria in the table below. It also sends out portal message 68. The message is sent to students who are going to get a hold on their account in one week due to missing admission prerequisites. The text of that message is:
