Adding Canisius Gmail Account to the iPhone/iPad/iPod

1. Go to the settings tab on the main screen of the iOS device

3. Select Gmail from the list of options that appearsImage Removed
4. Next type in all of your email account information, making sure to use @my.canisius.edu after your assigned email. Then Click the next button. Image Removed

5. Canisius Gmail account should now be set up on the iPad.

 

6. You also have the option to sync information with your Gmail account.

7. Select what information you would like to have synced with your Gmail account. If you would like all information to be accessible by Gmail, turn all to the "ON" position. If you do not want certain information synced, turn the switch next to that icon to the "OFF" position.

8. After you have chosen what information you would like to be synced wit your Gmail account, click the "Save" button.

9. Your Canisius Gmail should now be synced with your device. To launch your Gmail, click the "Mail" icon on your iOS device

Before you begin

  • Ensure you are connected to wireless whether on campus (setup instructions) or off
  • Your device is running iOS 8 or greater

Step 1: Open Settings

Step 2: Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars followed by Add Account

Step 4: Enter your Canisius Credentials and select Next

Note: Be sure to enter '@my.canisius.edu' in your email address

Step 6: Select which Google Apps you would like to sync with your iOS device

Step 7: Begin using your Google Account in the Mail app
