Adding Canisius Gmail Account to the iPhone/iPad/iPod
Before setting up Gmail on the iOS device make sure to take the necessary steps of configuring your Gmail account for IMAP. You will need to log in and reset your IMAP Password in order for the process to be successful. (You should set this password to be the same as your regular Canisius Password to avoid confusion). Be sure that the device is NOT using the CanisiusGuest wifi network before you continue.	Image Removed
2. After doing the necessary configuration of your Gmail account, go 1. Go to the settings tab on the main screen of the iOS device	iPhone/iPod iPad
32. Next choose the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" option under the 'Settings' options. iPhone/iPod: Click "Add Account" on the screen that appears iPad: Select "Add Account" from the options that appear to the right of the 'Settings' options	iPhone/iPod iPad
43. Select Gmail from the list of options that appears
54. Next type in all of your email account information, making sure to use @my.canisius.edu after your assigned email. Then Click the next button.
65. Canisius Gmail account should now be set up on the iPad.
76. You also have the option to sync information with your Gmail account. 87. Select what information you would like to have synced with your Gmail account. If you would like all information to be accessible by Gmail, turn all to the "ON" position. If you do not want certain information synced, turn the switch next to that icon to the "OFF" position. 98. After you have chosen what information you would like to be synced wit your Gmail account, click the "Save" button.
109. Your Canisius Gmail should now be synced with your device. To launch your Gmail, click the "Mail" icon on your iOS device
